Owner
Info: DOB 9/2008. Shiloh is a beautiful girl who
was shot in the face and left blind. She was rescued by her current owner
who is unable to keep her due to her other dogs, her work schedule (she
works long hours), and finances, and so she is looking for rescue or adoption
for sweet Shiloh! Her owner writes, "All of this is very
unfair to her! I really want to see her in a good forever home." Shiloh is
an indoor dog confined to one area of the house, she is housebroken and leash
trained. Shiloh is a smart girl and knows many commands, including sit,
down, leave it, step, easy, wait, stay, and kennel up. She adapts well to
new situations, and her owner says that she's very intelligent!
Previously, she was a hog hunting dog. Shiloh is good with men, women,
and teenagers. Shiloh can be possessive with toys, treats, or food
and has snapped. She will defend herself if another dog is
aggressive towards her, but she has never bitten people, including any of
the children she has been around. We asked for more detail about how she
is with other dogs, and her owner wrote, "I am hesitant to say she gets
along with dogs. She gets along with my lab but she honestly doesn't get along
with all dogs. It will depend on the dog and if the people are experienced with
intelligent dominant breeds. I will continue to foster her as long
as needed. I just really want & need to find her a home." Her
owner also writes, "I just want her to have a good home. She is a
sweetheart and just wants to climb in your lap and be loved. I can't keep her,
I don't have the time or finances to take on another
dog."
Update 11/23/13: Shiloh is still looking for her forever home! Shiloh needs a home where she can be inside with her people.
Update 4/13/14: We heard from Shiloh's owner. She still needs a new home. She wrote: She is doing wonderful!!! She has settled in quite nice. After a
slightly rough start with my little dog, they have become friends. I think she
could be ok with other dogs IF the people know how to gently correct & if the
other dog isn't aggressive. Please help Shiloh find a new home!!
