Owner
Info: Gizmo's
owner passed away recently and the family left poor Gizmo in an empty house
with no one to care for him. His deceased owner's daughter has asked his
caregiver to take him and find him a loving home that will give him proper
medical care as he has been neglected, and his caregiver is doing her
best. He is with her niece, and she is unable to keep him for long.
They have only had him for a few days. Gizmo is an indoor dog with run of
the house, he is housebroken and leash trained. They believe Gizmo has
cataracts. Gizmo is good with people of all ages, and with both dogs and
cats. He currently lives with two larger dogs and several cats.
Gizmo is not possessive of toys, treats, or food and has never bitten or
snapped. When asked if the dog adapts well, his caregiver writes,
"Gizmo has did great with his new environment. was a little anxious at
first with labored breathing but quickly adapted to his new surroundings.. Does
not like to be left alone. Feels very secure on your lap." She also writes, "Since I only met this
little guy 2 days ago I am not sure of his true medical condition.
His grooming needs have been terribly neglected. Nails were so long they
were curled to the side. Hair is very matted. Seems to have issues with
breathing on occasion. My niece said he is a wonderful old guy and is
full of love and kisses."
