Breed: Cocker Spaniel

Pennsylvania
Vet Info: Chloe is confirmed
spayed and weighs 25 pounds. She is current with vaccinations, except for
rabies, which was due in March, 2013. Chloe’s owner reported that she has had a
negative heartworm test but the vet’s office did not have a record of it. The
vet diagnosed blindness in one eye and the owner reports that she recently lost
sight in the other eye. The vet’s office said that glaucoma was suspected
(April 2014). She is not on any medication for it.
Owner Info: Chloe is a cocker spaniel
whose family does not support the decision to keep her. Her owner said that if
she doesn’t find a home for Chloe, her husband is going to have her euthanized.
Her family has had Chloe since she was a puppy. Chloe is an indoor dog
with run of the house; she is housebroken and leash-trained. She is
micro-chipped. She is good with men, women, and children, as well as male and
female dogs, and cats. She is not possessive of toys, treats, or food and has
never shown aggression toward anyone. Chloe’s owner says, “she is very
loving and seems to adapt better when someone is by her side. She just needs a
companion.”
