Owner
Info: Keller's
owner rescued him 2 years ago from the local shelter. He had been picked up by
the humane officer running loose out in the county. He was completely blind
when they found him and also has a couple of broken teeth. He has come a
long way since then! Keller's owner is a single mother who has
had some medical conditions come up in the last year that leave her unable
to keep up with and care for her two dogs. She writes, "It has
been beyond a painful decision for us", and she is heartbroken. She
has reached out to friends and family with no luck. Keller is an indoor
dog with run of the house, he is housebroken and leash trained. Keller
knows "come" and "lay down"! He is good with people
of all ages and both male and female dogs. Keller's owner
has no cats and has never seen him with a cat, so she is unsure of how he would
be with them. Keller is not possessive of toys, treats, or food,
and has never bitten or snapped. Keller's owner writes, "Keller
immediately took to us, has been able to manoeuvre through our house up &
down the stairs inside & up & down the steps that lead to the fenced
yard. He is loving to anyone that enters the home and is very snuggly and
loving. He is just a sweetheart who has already endured so much that I
don't want him to end up in a bad place or euthanized. He has much love and joy
to offer to someone who can see past his blindness!"
