Owner Info: Loki is a gorgeous fellow who is very sweet and loves people!  But Loki has severe separation anxiety, and his owner and his wife both have full time jobs and are not home most of the time.  They've tried crate training without success, and "strongly believe that he needs a home where the owners are home the majority of the time, whether they be retired or people that work from home."  Shelters have told them Loki would probably be euthanized because he would be too difficult to place.  Loki was originally adopted from a shelter about 1 1/2 years ago.

Loki is an indoor dog with run of the house, he is housebroken and leash trained.  He is good with both men and women, teenagers, and younger children.  He currently lives with two cats, but his owners write, "Loki will need to be introduced to new animals and supervised until he gets used to them, otherwise he may bite unfamiliar cats."  Loki knows Sit and Shake and sometimes, he will Stay!

He however has bitten and snapped at rambunctious dogs because he can not tell if they are trying to play with him or trying to attack him. He has not broken their skin. Loki also bit our newest cat when we first brought her home. He did not break skin and after being monitored for a while, the two now live in harmony in our home."

Loki adapts well to new surroundings, and his owners write, "Loki adapts very quickly to new surroundings. We take him with us when we go to friends houses or to visit family sometimes. He will spend a few minutes learning the layout of the new place and then will get around just fine. He will also be fine around the animals that reside at the other homes unless the strange dog is super playful and bothers Loki."

Loki's owners want us to know he's a very sweet fellow and adores people!  "Loki is a very sweet dog that loves people. He would be a great dog for a home where he would not be left alone for long periods of time."
