Owner Info: Charlie is a
deaf and partially blind pit bull who was pulled from a kill shelter when he
was 8 months old. He was adopted to a family but they returned him to the
rescue due to family changes. The rescue is looking for a loving home for
Charlie since they do not feel that they are equipped to properly help him with
his needs. Charlie is an indoor dog who is crated. He is house-broken and
leash-trained. He is descried as nervous and good with women. Charlie’s
caregiver said he bonded with her very quickly. She said he doesn’t like small
dogs and he did well in the home with two dogs his size but not the small one.
There were fights but no skin was broken. He doesn’t have a problem with cats.
Charlie is not possessive of toys, treat, or food. Charlie’s caregiver says he
loves to be outside and run and play. The kennel life is too much for him
unless he has an outside run. She said “He loves to play fetch but loses the
toy easily if not right in front of him.” She wants us to know he is a very
sweet loving dog that needs to feel a part of a family. I would love to find
him a home as an only dog but I also think that will time and proper handling
he would love to have a big dog to play with too.”
