Name: Mishka
Age: 1 year, 8 months
Breed: Siberian Husky
Sex: Female (altered)
Location: San Antonio, TX
Vet Info: Mishka is
confirmed spayed. She is not up to date on vaccines and has not had a
recent heartworm test, but her owner writes that she will be getting this done.
Mishka weighs about 60 pounds. Her owner tells us Mishka has juvenile
cataracts and "may be able to see shapes, but overall her sight is
gone."
Owner Info: Mishka is a
gorgeous girl whose owner has two other large dogs and a baby on the way (due in
March), and is worried about what will happen after her baby arrives, as Mishka
"still walks all over me, steps on my face in bed, etc".
She writes that Mishka "would thrive better in a home where she could
get more attention." She has tried all of the Husky rescue
organizations in her area, and has been referred to us. She would love
for Mishka to go to a great home that she deserves!
Mishka is an indoor dog with run of
the house, she is housebroken and leash trained. Mishka is described as
"outgoing", and is good with men and women, and male and female
dogs. She currently lives with a male and female dog. Other than
her sight, her owner writes that she's very healthy and friendly!
Mishka is not possessive of toys,
treats, or food, and has never shown any aggression. Her owner tells us
that "she is very submissive to the other dogs". Mishka
adapts well to new situations, and has adjusted well to being blind. Her
owner writes that the other dogs help her."She adapted to being blind
well. I think the other dogs helped her cope. She still runs into walls and
doors when she gets excited and just runs, but overall she is doing well."
