Owner
Info: DOB June
2009. Benjy is a sweet little fellow who was recently diagnosed with diabetes.
He has also recently become blind, and his elderly owners are having a great
deal of difficulty caring for him. They are very much hoping for rescue as soon
as possible! He was originally purchased from a breeder. Benjy is an indoor dog
confined to one area of the house, he is housebroken and leash trained. He's a
smart boy and knows the commands, Sit, Stop, and Go! Benjy is good with people
of all ages and with female dogs. He's never been around male dogs, but he just
ignores the female dogs, and they believe he'll be just fine with male dogs,
too! He is not possessive of toys, treats, or food and has never bitten or
snapped. Benjy wasn't feeling well a few
months ago and couldn't hold anything down. His caregivers write, "He was
diagnosed with diabetes and requires 2 insulin shots per day. With the medicine
his appetite returned, he was energetic, and happy until the eye conditioned
developed". They describe Benjy as being partially blind, with a glaze
over his eyes, and that it's progressing quickly. He misses the doggy door and
will bump into things. Benjy is a sweet little boy and they hope he can find
rescue!
