Name: Mandy and Mindy (bonded siblings)
Age: Unknown
Sex: Females (altered)
Breed: Peke-a-poo
Location: Eastern TN
Vet Info: Both dogs are
described as neutered but have not been vetted, are not current with
vaccinations, and have not been heartworm tested. Mindy is 20 pounds and
sighted; Mandy is 10 pounds and vision impaired – milky white eyes, but does not
appear to be in pain. Both had fleas initially, but have been shaved and bathed
several times since.
Owner Info: Mindy and Mandy are a
pair of Peke-a-poos who were surrendered by the owner's daughter due to a
stroke and move to a nursing home; they've been with their current caregiver
since August. There were ten dogs in the home and seven were successfully
placed elsewhere. Mandy is blind, but the two are bonded and should stay
together. They are indoor dogs that aren't afraid to wander a fenced yard. They
are not house-broken or leash-trained, but will use pee pads. They are
described as shy, good with women, male and female dogs, cats, and other small
animals. Neither is possessive or aggressive, and they have never snapped at
any person or animal. Mandy will follow your voice and handles stairs. Mindy is
more shy, but both are sweet girls.
