Name: Foxy
Sex: Female (not altered)
Age: 6-9 months
Breed: Terrier
Location: Northeast Arkansas
Vet Info: Foxy is not
spayed and is not up to date on vaccines. Her good samaritan said she is
heartworm negative, but this has not been confirmed. Her vet says that
Foxy has a bit of a facial deformity and a head bobble that seems to be
congenital. Foxy weighs about 7 pounds.
Owner Info: Foxy is an
adorable little puppy who was abandoned at someone's house in rural
Arkansas. They were going to bring her to the local shelter, but
surrendered her to a good samaritan. The good samaritan paid for her to
see a vet, but is unable to keep her as she has several other dogs including
fosters, and "has no one with the expertise to keep her and make sure
she has a full loving life". Foxy is visually impaired (she
cannot see out of one eye and has limited vision in the other) and likely
completely deaf. Foxy will be boarding at a vet clinic beginning 6/3/15,
and it is not clear how long she will be able to board. Foxy is an indoor
dog confined to one area of the house. She is not housebroken or leash
trained. Foxy is good with both men and women and male and female dogs,
but children may be too rough for her. Foxy is not possessive of toys,
treats, or food and has never bitten or snapped. Foxy's good samaritan
tells us that in addition to her head bobble, Foxy barks a lot and sometimes
goes in circles. Her vet does not believe she'll get any worse, and
commented on what a sweet girl she is! Foxy loves people and enjoys being
held and cuddled. Foxy's good samaritan is desperately hoping for rescue
for sweet Foxy. She writes, "Please help find Foxy a great place
where she can learn all that she needs to be a wonderful dog!"
