Evie - In BDRA Foster Care

Vet Info:  Evie is not spayed and has not had any vaccines or a heartworm test.  She weighs one pound.  

Owner Info: Evie is a precious little girl who was born blind.  She was bred to be a hunting dog, but is unable to do that.  Her owner works full time and has a family and other dogs, and cannot give her the full care she needs.  She has tried to find a new home for Evie by posting online and contacting other organizations, but has not had any luck.  She is hoping we can help!

Evie's owner writes that she's almost certain Evie is mostly blind.  Her eyes, "are both blue in color and glazed over with a cloudy glaze... Left eye looks like a fish eye.... 

When she walks around she bumps into things.... 

Almost certain she is mostly blind... But again she is only 4 wks old... And just now getting out and moving around."  Other than her eyes, Evie's owner tells us that she seems to be healthy.

Evie is an outdoor dog with a fenced yard, she is not housebroken.  Her owner writes that she'll get to about 40 pounds when grown.  Evie is described as outgoing, and is good with other dogs.  She is not possessive of toys, treats, or food, and has never shown aggression.  Her owner tells us that she's doing well despite her visual impairment.  "She is in a kennel with her siblings and her mother... She can crawl out of her box in the pen and get back to her box... "

Evie's owner is hoping there will be someone special out there for Evie!
