Eye Specialist Info: KJ saw Jennifer Urbanz from Eye Care For Animals on 1/4/2011. Ophthalmic examination revealed both eyes appear normal, electroretinogram revealed flat-lined wave forms which is consistent with SARDS. He is permanently blind and unfortunately there is no treatment for this condition. Recheck was recommended in 1 yr.
Owner Info: KJ's owner passed away suddenly on 3/14/2011 and he is now in the care of his owner's 84 yr old mother who is in poor health. KJ is very overweight from being overfed. He has only been blind for the last few months. He is a very sweet boy who was very bonded with his Dad, he stayed by his side for 8 hrs after he passed. The family are all grieving and don't want to have to send KJ to a shelter or have him PTS. KJ only knew his owners voice and is now very lost. KJ is an inside dog with the run of the house, he is housebroken and leash trained, good with people and children of all ages, great with other dogs and cats.
