Billy - In BDRA Foster Care

Name: Billy
Age: Unknown
Sex: Male (not altered)
Breed: Shih Tzu
Location: Virginia by the KY, WV, VA line

Vet Info: Billy's vet did give a rabies vaccine, but they were unable to locate the dates of the vaccine or when it is next due without the certificate number.  Billy is not neutered and has not had a recent heartworm test.  Billy weighs about 8 pounds. His owner says she gave him a series of 7-way shots a couple years ago.

Owner Info: Billy is a blind Shih Tzu whose owner is not well and is unable to give him the time and care he needs.  She has other dogs as well, and she knows that Billy needs attention.  Billy was a stray that she found, and she has had him about two years.  Billy is an indoor dog confined to one area of the house, he is housebroken and leash trained.  His owner notes that he "goes in circles" and he has "bug eyes".  Billy got a punctured eye about a year ago - his owner thinks a pigeon did it.  It has healed and is now blue, and she writes Billy is "blue in one eye, cateract in other may see shadows".   He can hear.  He is good with people of all ages and with other dogs and cats.  He is not possessive of toys, treats or food and has never shown any aggression.  His owner says that he loves everybody!  She writes, "Please if you can take Billy,  he's a good little dog!!"  She also writes that Billy needs attention.

PLEASE NOTE:  This is NOT a picture of Billy, but his owner says that he "looks like the black and white Shih Tzu in this picture but he's smaller".
