Mouse and Casper

Mouse

Casper
Names: Mouse and Casper
Age: 8 years
Breed: Jack Russell Terriers
Sex: Males (both altered)
Location:  Huntington, NY, but can be brought to Philadelphia at any time

Vet Info: Mouse and Casper are both neutered.  Casper is UTD with rabies.  Mouse's rabies vaccine was due in 2013.  No other vaccines noted in chart.  They have not had a recent heartworm test.  Casper is noted as being a little aggressive at vet and Mouse is fearful.  Both boys weigh about 10 pounds.

Owner Info: Mouse and Casper are very handsome Jack Russells whose owner recently passed away.  Her son contacted us because he is unable to have dogs where he lives.  Mouse and Casper are currently being cared for by his mother's friend, but that is only a temporary arrangement.  They are brothers and sleep next to or on each other, so it would be great if they could stay together, but they can be separated if necessary.

Mouse and Casper's mother originally saved them from a man who owned almost 50 other dogs!  She had them for about 6 years.  They are both indoor dogs with run of the house, are housebroken and leash trained.  Both are good with people of all ages, male and female dogs, and cats, and they lived with other dogs and a cat at their mother's.

Neither Mouse or Casper is possessive of toys, treats, or food, and neither has bitten or snapped.  The son tells us they adapt well to new environments and writes, "Yes, they adapt well to new environments. In a new house they usually walk around the house a few times to familiarize themselves with the layout."

He tells us Casper is blind and deaf, and Mouse is completely blind.  He gave us more information about their eyes:  "As for the cause of the blindness, Casper was born blind (from what the previous owner told my mother), Mouse's developed over time."

He also wants us to know, "They are honestly sweet boys and my mom loved them very much despite their handicaps and ultimately finding them a happy home I know would make my mom happy if she were here."
