owner writes that she is spayed, but this has not been confirmed. He is
not sure if she's up to date on her vaccines or has had a heartworm test.
Heidi weighs about 17 pounds.
Owner Info: Heidi is a
sweet but timid little girl whose current owner is unable to care for
her. He took her in because her former owner moved out of state and
couldn't take her. Her current owner writes, "My neighbor moved
to Pennsylvania with his nephew. They asked me to take his dog because they
were unable to take her with them. Her name is heidi she has only ever been
around her owner so she is very scared of people i did not want to take her to
a dog pound she is blind but gets around pretty well considering. I would say
she is about 8 to 9 years old. She is spayed. I cant take care of this dog i am
financially incapable of doing so...please if there is anything you can do to
help me." He is desperately hoping we can help. He is not
able to keep her for very long. He has had her for two weeks.
Heidi is an indoor dog with run of
the house, she is housebroken and leash trained. She is good with other
dogs and has never bitten or snapped that her current owner is aware of, even
though she's frightened of the sudden change in her situation.
Heidi's current owner gave us more
information about her blindness: "She might be just partially she
gets around well she bumps into things when she goes out at night during day
she does ok she has ablue haze over them."
Update 8/25/16: We've heard from Heidi's current owner and he
writes that she's doing great, but that he's moving on September 5th. She
desperately needs a safe place to go before then!
