Henry - Adopted

Name: Henry
Sex: Male (altered)
Breed: Poodle/Bichon Mix
Age: 6 years approx
Location: Sacramento, CA

Vet/Medical Info: Henry is neutered and up to date on rabies, he's due for next rabies 6/27/14. They have no record of giving him any other vaccines. He is current on his heartworm testing and he is heartworm negative. They had no other relevant medical information.

Owner Info: Henry's owner has very unstable working hours and doesn't even have her own place to live because of it. She is couch surfing trying to save up for her own place and really can't care for her dog this way. Although he has adapted very well over the last year, she sees him becoming more depressed and withdrawn, she believes his blindness has gotten worse. If she doesn't find a home for him by August 1st she will have to take him to a shelter and fears they will just put him down. She got him from a shelter and does not want him to have to go back. Henry is possessive with toys and socks, he loves to find socks and place them in front of himself. He never chews them up, just hovers over them. He has become more possessive over the last 3 months or so, he is really stressed right now. He is not possessive with food. Henry has always adapted quickly and easily, but they have moved so much over the last few months he has become insecure and has snapped at small children recently. His eyes have become more cloudy over the last few months, his right eye was always the worst but his left eye is more cloudy now. He flinches his eyes a lot when you are near his face. Henry has been very healthy, he gets heartworm and flea control medication and is groomed regularly. He is an indoor dog with the run of the house, he’s housebroken and leash trained. He is good with adults, older children and other dogs. He is very sweet. She believes Henry can live a long good life with the right owner and wishes that owner could be her. He is a typical lap dog who just wants to sit and love you and be loved.
