heartworm tested. We have confirmed she is spayed. Aubrey weighs 12 pounds.
Owner Info: Aubrey's owners have relocated and are unable to take her with them.
They are very much hoping for rescue or adoption as soon as possible for sweet
Aubrey! They have another blind dog, Jimmie, who also needs rescue and was
posted earlier. While they do love each other, they are not a bonded pair.
Aubrey's owners have tried other rescues and family and friends, but have not
been successful. Aubrey is an indoor
dog with run of the house. She is good with men and women, and both male and
female dogs. Young children may frighten Aubrey and a home without children is
recommended. She has been raised with her owner's children, but they do not
know how she would react to other children. Aubrey
is housebroken and leash trained. She can be possessive of toys, treats, or
food, and since she lost her sight, her owners write that she has become more
"snappy", but only snaps when other dogs attempt to take her toys or
bones. She is completely blind "stemming from a dog attack that occurred a
few years ago". Other than that, they write that Aubrey is healthy and has
no evident health issues. Her owners want us
to know that "Aubrey is a very sweet dog, she is older so she does like to
sleep a fair amount. She does love toys and has always "gutted" them
and likes to toss around the remains. She is still very playful with the other
dogs that we have in our home as well as my children."
