Hellen Keller - In Foster Care

Vet Info: Hellen Keller is not spayed.  She is not current on vaccines and has not had a heartworm test.  She weighs about 8 pounds.

Owner Info: DOB 3/1/2016. Hellen Keller is a precious little girl whose owner is having difficulty working with her and caring for her.  She has tried friends, family members, and special needs animal shelters with no luck.She is hoping we can help Hellen find a new home or rescue!   

Hellen was adopted from a family friend, and she's been with her owner for two months.  Her owner writes that she cannot train Hellen to do anything.  

Hellen is an indoor dog with run of the house, she is not housebroken or leash trained.  She knows the command Stay!  Hellen is described as outgoing, and is good with people of all ages and male and female dogs.  She is not possessive of toys, treats, or food, and has never bitten or snapped.  Her owner says Hellen adapts well to new situations, but tells us she doesn't like to be in her kennel alone. "She tends to cry a lot when shes in her kennel alone which is just because shes scared. But doesn't mind being in larger kennels with other dogs to play with."

Hellen is almost completely blind and deaf.  Her owner writes, "She is about 90% blind and 99% deaf. She can see shadows in the light and only hear very loud sharp nooses like a blow horn."  She also wants us to know what a friendly girl Hellen is!  "Hellen is very out going and playful. Loves to play with other dogs when they come around."

Update 7/27/16:  We've heard from Hellen's owner, and she is desperate for help.  She writes, "Please inform everyone that I cannot continue providing a home for her."  Hellen will be taken to the shelter by the end of next week if rescue is not found.
