Tilly - Adopted

Name: Tilly
Age: Senior (age unknown)
Breed: Dachshund
Sex: Female (not altered)
Location: Biloxi, MS area

Vet Info: Tilly is not spayed and is not current on vaccines, however she will be vetted and receive her vaccines on Monday and so we will update after that.  Tilly weighs about 20 pounds. Her foster says that she has severe cataracts and a fatty tumor.

Owner Info: Tilly is a beautiful little girl with severe cataracts who was abandoned and ended up at the shelter.  She was bred over and over and seems to have recently had puppies.  She was immediately put into foster care through the shelter and they're very much hoping for rescue or adoption for sweet Tilly so that she can have the home she deserves!   Her foster writes, "I am gone up to 9 hours daily through the week and she has to be kenneled for her safety. She is potty trained and usually is still fine when I get home but that's such a long time for an older girl to hold everything."  Tilly is an indoor dog confined to one area of the house, she is housebroken but not yet leash trained.  She knows to go potty outside and her foster says that she loves to eat and sleep!  She is good with both men and women and male and female dogs and cats, and lives with several other dogs and one cat in her foster home.  Tilly is not possessive of toys, treats, or food and has never bitten or snapped.  Her foster mom says that Tilly adjusts well to new situations! She writes, "she has amazed me this past week. This morning she actually got herself up the stairs and into an open kennel and put herself to bed (I was out with her picking up poop and she just disappeared)".  Her foster mom wants us to know that Tilly loves to be loved! "I can tell you she is a very easy going happy girl who doesn't get upset about anything. Very easy to care for and loves being touched."
