Vet Info: Candy is confirmed spayed and heartworm negative. She is up to date on her vaccines and is due for her next rabies vaccine on 8/8/15. Candy weighs about 19 pounds.

Owner Info: Candy is a super sweet little girl who was saved from being euthanized at a kill shelter by someone who has pulled dogs for us in the past. She has been nursed back to health and is now ready for rescue so she can find her very own forever home! Candy has cataracts in both eyes but can see, although her vision is worse at night. Her caregiver writes that she is a healthy and well-adjusted girl! Candy is an indoor dog who is crated, she is housebroken and leash trained. She is good with both men and women and male and female dogs and currently lives with several other dogs. She is not possessive of toys, treats, or food and has never shown any aggression. For the question about whether an owner feels the dog will adapt well to a new situation, Candy's caregiver writes, "Yes she is such a sweet easy dog. She does not meet a stranger and she is not at all afraid in any situation. Just a great dog." Her caregiver wants us to know that Candy "is a super sweet girl and her tail is always waggingl... She is housebroken, crate trained, great with other dogs and does not meet a stranger. She is about 20 lbs, around 7 years old and has no other health issues. She has cataracts but is not totally blind. Whoever gets Candy Cane will be getting a true prize. She is so sweet and loving. She deserves a chance at a home of her own."
