Boone - Adopted


Name: Boone
Age: 17 months
Sex: Male (altered)
Breed: Pit bull
Location: South Central California

Vet Info: Boone is verified neutered and is up to date on vaccines. He received a one year rabies vaccine in June 2015. Boone has not had a heartworm test. Boone is microchipped. He weighs 48 pounds. Boone’s caregiver said about his vision, “Boone can see more at night when the sun is not out. We believe he might be far sighted. His eyes do bounce around we have had this looked at and the vet did not feel it was a serious issue we need to have further tested.” Boone was recently neutered and received vaccines. The vet said he is a healthy puppy!

Owner Info: DOB 11/12/2014. Boone is an adorable pit bull puppy who is with rescue but the rescue does not believe they can give him the training and attention he needs. The rescue adopted him from a local shelter and he was placed in a home in January but he was returned to the rescue two weeks ago. Boone is an indoor dog with run of the house. He is not housebroken. He is leash-trained. Boone is described as nervous but good with men, women and kids. Boone “gets nervous around young, hyper dogs.”  Boone has shown signs of food aggression. Boone’s caregiver says, “He does better around mellow, older dogs.” When asked if Boone adapts well to new situations or surroundings, Boone’s caregiver said, “Yes, Boone has been through a lot of changes in the last 2 weeks and has done very well. He is still very loving and trusting.” Give this sweet boy a chance!
