Farkle - Adopted

Name: Farkle
Sex: Male (not altered)
Age: 11 years
Breed: English Springer Spaniel
Location: Madison, WI area

Vet Info: Farkle is not neutered and has not had a recent heartworm test.  He is due for his next rabies vaccine on November 9th.  Farkle weighs 56 pounds.

Owner Info: DOB 11/4/2004. Farkle is a gorgeous English Springer Spaniel whose family is no longer able to take care of him.  They write that he has high anxiety, and requires more attention and time than they can give him.  Farkle was originally adopted from a friend whose other dogs did not like Farkle.

Farkle's owners tell us his eyes are very foggy.  "He is not quite completely blind but I think he is very close", and they gave us more details about his health:  "Farkle has a slow growing tumor in his groin region, almost deaf, and severe anxiety.....As far as we know Farkle has always had anxiety problems. Anxiety medication does help him but he is not currently on it (it's a very cheap drug if a potential adopter asks). Farkle paces a lot and aimlessly walks around, panting, and finds himself in trouble when he thinks he is alone. Trouble including sitting in window sills and trying to get through them as well as eating garbage. He WILL chew through and escape wire kennels."

Farkle is an indoor dog with run of the house, he is housebroken and leash trained.  He is good with both men and women and male and female dogs.  His owners tell us he sometimes lives with another dog.  Farkle is not possessive of toys, treats, or food and has never bitten or snapped.

Farkle's owners also want us to know that he's a real sweetheart, and loves to snuggle!  He'll make a great lap warmer!  "Farkle is an extremely happy go-lucky guy. In his last few years of life he will need a home in which someone can be with him most-all of the time due to his anxiety. He is a great snuggler! He prefers women but gets along with men as well. He doesn't mind other animals, but sometimes they don't like him."
