Vet Info: Vetting information is unknown, but it's likely Dash is not up to date on vaccines and has not had a recent heartworm test. Dash weighs about 55 pounds. Dash is completely blind.
Owner Info: Dash is owned by a woman who is nearly 100 years old. Dash used to belong to her son (who also didn't care for Dash properly) but he has passed away, and she is unable to properly care for Dash. Dash was "discovered" by a Meals on Wheels volunteer who asked his owner about him, and the owner would like help in finding Dash a new home. Dash isn't abused, but is neglected (has little food, occasional clean water and probably no veterinary care). Unfortunately, not much is known about Dash. He is kept in a small 8 x 8 pen, day and night. Our contact is guessing he's not housebroken or leash trained, but this is not known for certain. It's also unknown if he's ever shown any aggression or is possessive of toys, treats, or food, but our contact believes he has never shown any aggression, and if asked, our contact will be happy to evaluate him. We're told he knows the Meals on Wheels volunteer's voice and is very warm to her - she's been bringing him treats, but when the volunteer brought a stranger to Dash, he was wary and barked. After they gave him a few treats, he warmed up. As we get more information on Dash, we will forward it along. He is truly a special boy.
