Pepper - Adopted

Name: Pepper
Sex: Female (not altered)
Age: 8 years
Breed: Jack Russell Terrier
Location: West Virginia

Vet Info: The vet clinic saw Pepper and checked her pressure for glaucoma (she did not have glaucoma) and gave her antibiotics for a flea/skin allergy. No other treatment or care was provided.

Owner Info: Pepper is in a temporary foster home; her recent plans with a rescue fell through. Her current foster mom would like to keep her, but Pepper has been fighting with her female dogs. She said Pepper is 16 pounds and is not spayed. She does not have her shot records. She is willing to get a HW test and also to get Pepper spayed if she is going to a new home. Pepper is an indoor dog with the run of the house. She is housebroken and leash trained and responds to "sit." She is good with men, women and older children, and good with other animals, except for female dogs. Pepper has never been aggressive toward people. She can see a little bit (she has trouble seeing in very low light and very bright light) and gets around her home fine. The foster mom said the vet is not sure why Pepper lost her vision, and she writes: "Pepper is a great dog. She is not hyper like most Jack Russell Terriers. She will go for a long walk and keep the perfect pace, or lay on the couch. She is not demanding. She only wants peace and quiet and to be loved by her person. She sleeps with me almost every night. She deserves a home that will love her and appreciate her."
