Kali - Adopted

Name: Kali
Sex: Female (altered)
Breed: Schnauzer
Age: 6 years
Location: North Central Utah

Vet Info: Kali is confirmed spayed.  She is up to date on her vaccines and is next due for Rabies, Bordetella, and Distemper vaccines on 4/9/2013.  They had no record of heartworm testing and no information to add about her eyes.  Kali weighs 13 pounds.

Owner Info: Kali's owner is not home enough to give her the training she needs now that she is blind. Kali has always had issues with pooping all over the place when she is upset, and they have been able to handle that before, but now that she is blind, they can't seem to train her. Her owner notes that it is such a problem that her quality of life has decreased because Kali constantly needs to be in her kennel. She has tried contacting coworkers, posting on websites, talking with the Humane Society, and many other rescues, but has had no luck.  Kali is an indoor dog confined to one area of the home, and she is leash trained.  She is good with men and women and other dogs.  Kali knows "sit", "stay", and "go".  She is not possessive of toys, treats, or food, and has never shown any aggression.  Kali's owner says, "She is blind due to an eye infection she got. The doctor tested her for diabetes or for problems with her blood sugar, and she was fine", and adds that unless she eats Iams, she'll get diarrhea or will vomit.  She wants us to know Kali is a very sweet little girl!!!
