Rorie - Staying With Owner

Name: Rorie
Age: 6 years
Sex: Female (altered)
Breed: Pomeranian mix
Location: Central Oklahoma

Vet Info: Rorie is confirmed spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She has not had a heartworm test. She started losing her vision last year and is now 100% blind. The vet’s office said they could not assign a cause for the blindness and her pupils are fixed and dilated. Rorie weighs 26 pounds.

Owner Info: Rorie is a sweet Pomeranian mix who has recently become blind and is having a hard time adjusting. Her owner feels she is not getting the attention that she needs because she and her fiancé travel a lot and she is now looking for a loving home for Rorie. Rorie’s was adopted from a local pet store when she was a puppy. Rorie's owner recently moved in with her fiancé and Rorie is now stumbling into furniture and off the back patio. Rorie is an indoor dog who is crated. If she is left alone and out of her crate, she will get frustrated and pee on the floor. Her owner writes, “she is very sweet and not at all aggressive, even after going blind.” Rorie is good with people of all ages as well as female dogs and cats. She knows commands, sit and stay but “doesn't always obey.” Rorie’s owner says that Rorie used to stay with a family member when she traveled but they have a pool in the back yard so she can’t stay there anymore and she is now boarded at the vet very often. She wants us to know that Rorie is a very sweet dog who loves to be loved on.
