Owner Info: Lady is a beautiful girl who was rescued from a shelter, with the intention of finding her a forever home.  Unfortunately, she is now at risk of going back to the shelter. Lady is an approximately 5 year old terrier (30 - 35 pounds) her owner helped rescue from the shelter she volunteers at.  Unfortunately, she is not working out in her current foster home.  She is scaring one foster dog in particular that already has issues (he is a rescued fight ring dog, so he's terrified of other dogs generally).  She is an indoor dog confined to one area of the house and is not housebroken, but she is leash trained.  She is an outgoing girl.  They're trying to help Lady out.  The current foster home can no longer foster her, so they want to make sure Lady gets the best care possible.  She's a sweet, friendly girl. Lady has not bitten anyone since she's been out of the shelter, approximately 9 days, but we know nothing about her prior history.  Because of her blindness, she has a higher startle than a sighted dog, so we wouldn't recommend her going to a home with children unless the adults are very experienced and responsible.  Lady loves to play ball and has a hard mouth while doing so.  She lives to play, but will not let you take the ball from her.  She did not snap or bite in that situation but gave a clear warning that she did not want to give up the ball.  When she is ready to go after the ball again, she will bring it to you, drop it and nudge you to throw it for her.  She has a very soft mouth when taking treats.  She was found as a stray in a field, but they believe she was someone's dog at some point.  Lady is slowly coming out of her shell, she has not been particularly affectionate or a seeker of physical contact, but she does want to sit by her temporary foster whenever she is around.  They also believe that she can be in a home with other dogs as long as they are not right up in her face, she is doing fine with two of her foster's three dogs. They would dearly love to give this girl a chance to come out of her shell and live.
