Cha Cha - In Memory

Name: Cha Cha
Sex: Female (altered)
Breed: Chihuahua
Age: 8 years
Location:Rowland Heights, CA

Vet/Medical Info: Cha Cha weighs seven pounds and is spayed.   Cha Cha is next due for her rabies vaccine in June, 2013.

Owner Info: Cha Cha's owner is a full-time student who is no longer able to give Cha Cha the time or attention she deserves.  Cha Cha is an indoor dog with run of the house, she is housebroken and leash trained, and knows "sit".  Cha Cha is good with men, women, and teenagers.  Cha Cha's owner says that she shows aggression towards puppies because as they try to play with her, her disability prevents her from knowing what's going on, which causes her to be defensive.  When Cha Cha's owners leave for an extended period, Cha Cha does very well at their friend's home, with their family and children.  Her owner says that both eyes have been diagnosed with cataracts, however, the right eye seems to be completely blind and the left eye is not as severe, but has showings of it.  Her owner also notes that Cha Cha does have some other medical issues.  Due to a break, she had a plate inserted into her back leg when she was a puppy.  She also has an enlarged heart and a pinched nerve in her back, but this has not bothered her in two years.  Cha Cha has become a bit more timid since the cataracts, but she loves to give lots and lots of kisses! Even after meeting a new person, Cha Cha is well-known for her kisses!
